Everton’s Under-23s recorded a 1-0 win over their Newcastle counterparts on Wednesday night to land the Premier League Cup.

As a result, the Toffees have landed a double at Under-23 level this term, having already won the Premier League 2.

It really has been a brilliant campaign for David Unsworth’s side, who overcame Newcastle courtesy of a goal from Morgan Feeney.

It has been quite a strange season for the first team, but Marco Silva’s team have actually won five of their last seven in the Premier League.

As a result, things are looking pretty good across the board for Merseyside club, who have a number of talented youngsters coming through the ranks.
